Suburban & Urban Gardening Research |

About me: With 40 years in the electronics industry, I am applying my high-tech engineering background to suburban and urban gardening. Unlike my field, growing food is one thing that cannot be outsourced.
Some background: My father's massive gardens were my original laboratory for developing rainwater recovery systems for over 20 years now. A 2005 visit to Taiwan and Thailand where they do more with less (simple cheap machines, low technology) inspired me further. Research & Development:  Graywater, groundwater and rainwater systems,
Raised beds with plastic growing bins,
Hard clay soil drainage systems,
Soil mixes,
Extended growing season greenhouse,
"Greencloset" compact greenhouse system.
Though all these projects are in varied states of completion, 90% are in use to some degree. My desire is to publish these systems and devices for all to use without royalties. If they are ever productized, simple free-market competition should make them as affordable as possible. This site was for my (defunct) IT business so I'm slowly switching it over to Gardening.
